|My name is Jane Halstead, I am in my final class at Walden University. Welcome to my Capstone. The course I am creating is to teach the Learning Management System my organization utilizes. I am so happy to meet you all. Let’s start by getting to know each other.
My career in the learning profession started in 1996 when I took a second job teaching computer classes at a local community college. That is when the teaching bug bit me. Currently, I work for Trinity Health Inc. where I have been for 17 years. I started working as a facilitator and have taken the role of Instructional designer. I hold a BS in Health Education from Northern Michigan University. I am in the process of finishing my MS in Instructional Design and Technology from Walden University.
I am a member of ATD Association for Talent Development, http://www.td.org/. It is a professional organization which promotes the advancement of learning and technology. In my journey of learning this has been the source of much of the learning I have obtained as I have grown professionally. As my roles change, I have also become a member of the eLearning Guild, http://www.elearningguild.com/. It is a great resource for learning interventions for instructional designers
